God has truly been good to Lighthouse Baptist Church since its humble beginnings on the current site in 1980. It is hard to comprehend His goodness to us and how many lives have been inspired and impacted for God’s glory.
1976 – Our Property just before the church bought the land
In 1980 the first church building was finished
1995 – The church (then called Norman Park) was beginning to be established
2003 – Our new auditorium was finished
Far beyond the physical blessings and numerical growth of the church, the greatest blessing has been to see the spiritual transformation that God has wrought in the lives of people. Seeing souls saved and hearts drawn to God is the true purpose and reward of ministry.
In the year 2000 a lighthouse was built on the front fence line which became a symbol of our goal as a church – to shine the light of Jesus Christ to the community of Rockhampton and beyond.
