Children are GREAT!

Our ministry to children is both fun and practical.

At Lighthouse Baptist Church, we love kids and are committed to providing:

• A clean, safe, and loving environment
• Creative, age-appropriate curriculum and activities
• Help for children to learn about God and His plans for them
• Fun, friends, and adults who love kids and make the Lighthouse the place to be for children of all age

Here children will learn to love and follow God early in life. With the help of puppets, games, activities, prizes, and loving teachers, each class is a fun and prepares them for life ahead.

There are four divisions of the Children’s Ministries at the Lighthouse:

• Lanterns – Newborns to 3 years will learn simple verses and fun bible songs
• Son Seekers – up to Grade 1 will enjoy learning activities and simple Bible lessons
• Lighthouse Kids – Grade 2 to Grade 4 begin to really understand Bible truths and develop strong Christian character
• Beacons – Grade 5 to Grade 7 are getting ready to live for God as teenagers through carefully planned classes and activities

Sunday and Wednesday programs and special events offer many opportunities to learn and make new friends.

(Life Groups and Wednesday night activities are run only during school terms and not during school holidays)

Mothers Time Out

Every Tuesday fortnight, mums with prep age children and younger gather together at one of the mum’s homes and spend the morning in a play group setting for the kids. This is an informal and fun time to meet other mothers and for the children to play.

Holiday Bible Club

During the Winter School holidays (June/July), the Lighthouse Children’s Ministries host a community wide Holiday Bible Club for 4 days – Tuesday to Friday for primary school aged children. This a great time of fun activities, plays, singing and Bible messages for children.
