Live Streaming FAQ

Q1. What live streaming server do you use?
   A. Windows Media.
Q2. Can we use realmedia player
   A. Yes - but you may need a plugin.
Q3. When trying to connect I recieve a time out error.
   A. This occurs when we have a problem with the stream coming from our broadcast server.
Q4. When I'm watching the live stream my picture goes green or upside down or it stops and says buffering.
   A. This is a problem with windows media player.  To rectify the problem open your windows media player, goto tools --> options --> performance and under network buffering click buffering and change the time to 15 seconds.
Q5. How come the video stream lags behind the audio stream?
   A. The live video broadcast is sent out to another server which buffers the stream before it is sent to the client connections
Q6. Can I contact you if we have a problem to get some answeres?

Q. When you click on either "Listen" or "Watch" are you asked to download the file? Are you using Internet Explorer 8?  Then please do the following.

 

Windows Media:-

1. Download this windows media registry fix from here This is a zip file.

2. Unzip file and double click media.reg file.

3. Answer ok or yes to the security question.

 

Firefox

1. If you have Firefox than download the file from here

2. Unzip the file

3. Install the executable file.  (This file comes from http://port25.technet.com/videos/downloads/wmpfirefoxplugin.exe)
